PAPERWORK WITH H.M.R.I

NOT STARTED YET

Today had planned to be a reasonably quiet day in the Darley workshops, but as Robins managed to get on without me making the annettes/token keys then id planned to turn my attention towards upgrading the track circuit feed for tcA at Church Lane with a higher voltage unit, the new one proved to be faulty and so after dinner the plan then was to goto Rowsley and get another out of the store, however we were requested to give a hand to the D8 lads tracing a fault inside the light wiring on D8, inevitably more faults were found but at the days end we still havent got round to doing the track feed, this will be the next weekends job.John,Ian and myself have spent two days fixing faults the vandals had put on down in the cutting by Darley Dales down distant, first the wire to the distant lamp had been severed and then the treadle cable put on the track, these have been repaired and fortified more so should at least make it hard for them to repeat their actions.as an aside to any of the ongoing projects, the points on the mainline are being fitted with telltale markers, similar to those you see on lorry tyres as an aid to checking looseness on the main lock stretcher rods,Darley and Church Lane being completed today, John wil do Rowsley this week sometime.
